Welcome to our new website www.self-catering-holidays-france.com our aim is to, over time, produce the best guide to self catering holidays in France. It is borne out of the need to find a simple but comprehensive website that will be easy to use but provide a lot of new functionality. In the meantime you may want to browse through some gites that we know well. They are all in the Deux Sevres or Charente departments in the Poitou-Charentes region, or in the Dordogne department.

Le Tilleul - Sitting by the shade of a beautiful lime tree, or
in French, Le Tilleul, this restored 18th century stone cottage has 3
bedrooms, living room and dining area, fully-equipped kitchen and shower
room with toilet. The gite has an outside dining area set in the secluded
courtyard garden with lovely views west of the surrounding fields and
beautiful sunsets. Sleeps up to 8
La
Vigne - Named after the impressive vine that grows on the wall outside,
this converted stone barn has 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin), a
shower room with toilet, fully-equipped kitchen, living room and dining
area French doors lead to the sunken terrace with patio table, chairs
and barbeque and Les Cygnes' gardens. Sleeps up
to 6 
Le
Poirier - Named after the pear tree that grows on the wall outside,
this converted stone barn has all the space needed for a large holiday
party It has 4 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms with toilets, fully-equipped
kitchen, living room and dining area. French doors lead to the sunken
terrace with patio table, chairs and barbeque and Les Cygnes' gardens.
Sleeps 8 comfortably and up to 10 as a maximum
Lavender
House - has been lovingly and luxuriously restored. The living room
has high beamed ceilings and exposed stonework and is beautifully cool
in the heat of the summer. The two upstairs bedrooms are large and full
of character and also have exposed beams and stonework. There is a shower
room/WC upstairs and another shower room/WC downstairs. Sleeps
6 in 3 bedrooms
The
Old Stable - Restored to the highest standard, The Old Stable is
our pride and joy! It has an open plan kitchen/living/dining room which
is beautifully decorated and like our other gites, fully fitted and

and has an ensuite shower room/WC. Sleeps up to
4 plus infant in 1 bedroom
La
Maison Ancienne' is a beautiful and fully restored 4 bedroomed gite
set in the heart of the French countryside. The house is one half of
a 16th century Charentaise farmhouse, [we live in the other half], constructed
from the stones of an 11th Century Abbey, which was destroyed in the
Religious Wars of 1574. So staying here is not just a holiday - it is
a step back into history. Sleeps up to 8

to the pool with a 30m2 lounge diner, La Trufferie has one double
bedroom upstairs and a twin bedded room on the ground floor. The large
kitchen has Oven, Washing Macine and Fridge Freezer. Large Wet Room

to the pool La Vigne our one bedroom apartment has a living room,
bedroom with wardrobe and large shower room and toilet. The kitchen
